Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Global Wealth Management Operations provides brokerage, investment and financial services to hundreds of thousands of individual investors. We apply our expertise in serving institutional clients to create new opportunities for people to achieve their personal financial goals. Morgan Stanley has one of the largest retail brokerage networks, with numerous worldwide representatives and retail locations. Our services are tailored to each client's investment objectives, risk tolerance, and financial needs. Products include mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and alternative investments where appropriate, as well as banking, mortgages, insurance and annuities.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct daily reconciliation of tax withholding house accounts

- Research and reconcile account exceptions based on IT findings

- Review State tax withholding filings for retirement accounts with distributions/contributions

- Knowledge of constantly changing regulatory reform as it pertains to the financial services industry (i.e. FINRA Regulations)

- Conducting testing/review of client Tax forms to validate accuracySkills Required:

- Ability to multitask and take ownership of complex issues

- Strong Analytical and Problem solving skills

- Knowledge of accounting and general auditing principles

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Attention to detail and meeting deadlines

- Ability to document results in a thorough manner

- Ability to multi task and help other team members with their functions when required.

- Prior work experience in Tax Reporting function is a plus

- Expertise in using MS Office Suite - Excel, MS Word etc. required.

- Knowledge and experience in Retirement Services business is strongly desired

- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and codes
