Providence is calling a per diem, variable shift Rapid Response Nurse Registered Nurse to Providence Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, CA.

In this position you will:

The Rapid Response Registered Nurse independently uses the nursing process to safely, therapeutically and efficiently care for patients.

He/She responds to the bedside of patients with suspected signs/symptoms of physiologic instability. The Rapid Response Registered Nurse uses information from a variety of sources to assess, plan, implement, identify outcomes and evaluate the patients plan of care,

The Rapid Response Nurse assumes a leadership role, directing and assisting team members in setting priorities for patient care

The Rapid Response Registered Nurse responds to a variety of codes and alerts, identifies and assessed high-risk patients, rounds in patient care areas and functions as resource to clinical staff.

Required qualifications for this position include:

Current California Registered Nurse (RN) License

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association

Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the Amercian Heart Association

National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)

Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Current Los Angeles Fire Card within 90 days of hire

CCRN or CEN within six months of hire

Three years of clinical care experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

Master's Degree in Nursing
