Conveniently located in the Northern California Peninsula and Bay Area, Ferrari & Maserati Silicon Valley is a full-service dealership offering new and pre-owned Sales, Service, and genuine parts. Maserati/Ferrari of Silicon Valley is a member of the Mattioli Automotive Group, North America's premiere Ferrari dealership group comprised of Ferrari Beverly Hills, Ferrari Silicon Valley, Ferrari Los Angeles and Ferrari South Bay. The Mattioli Automotive Group also includes the first Ferrari Factory Authorized Body Shop on the West Coast; as well as Championship racing team - Scuderia Corsa. We are currently looking to expand our staff for an entry level technician for the Silicon Valley, Redwood City location for the Ferrari and Maserati Brand.

Job Responsibilities of Automotive Technician:
* Assisting senior technician mechanics in performing technical activities.
* Diagnoses and repairs to specifications - engine, brake and hydraulic systems, exhaust, primary ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and electronic control systems.
* Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to administration
* Continuously learns new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology.
* Maintains an organized, clean and safe work bay.
* Follow company procedures and policies
* Read and interpret service manuals in print and computer formats

Qualifications:

Technician:

Minimum one year experience and/or graduate of an Automotive Tech school or Community College program


* Courtesy Checks and complete vehicle inspections with entry level diagnosis skills
* Perform preventative maintenance: Lube, Oil and Filter
* Basic Maintenance, air filters, batteries, wiper blades, serpentine belts, brake pads, tire replacement, alignment, vehicle adjustments, etc.
* Mounts, Demounts and Balances tires including large diameter wheels
* Perform Alignments
* Removes and Replaces Parts; Steering and Suspension, Brakes, Engine, Drive Train, Heating and Cooling systems.
* Ability to obtain an ASE or has passed test 1 ASE in Brakes, Steering and Suspension, or Electrical Systems but may not have the required two years work experience


Preferred Tool experience:
Alignment Machine, Basic hand tools, Charging system tester, compression and gas detector, multimeter, recovery machines, scan tools, tire machine, wheel balancer
