About this job
We are looking for Custodians to perform janitorial tasks at our Main Campus location. The work hours are Monday - Friday, either 5:00am-1:30pm or 3:00pm-11:30pm.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
* Pick up litter, empty trash and recycle containers.
* Change light bulbs.
* Report need for repair and/or maintenance.
* Wash interior/exterior windows that are easily accessible.
* Sweep and mop hard floors.
* Vacuum carpeted areas, including entry mats.
* Clean glass, chrome fixtures and metal work.
* Clean breezeways, stairwells, doors, walls and elevators.
* Clean and disinfect bathroom sinks, toilet bowls, urinals, stalls and floors, stock restroom paper products and soap dispensers.
* Dust furniture, equipment and other spaces.
* Maintain exceptional standards of professional conduct and appearance.
* Immediately inform Supervisor or Director of customer or employee relations issues.
* Efficiently utilize time to ensure all required deadlines are met.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Physically capable of performing tasks.
* Bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, climbing and standing for prolonged periods of time.
* Push/pull/lift 50 pounds.
* Basic English reading, comprehension, writing and speaking required for instructions, memos, work orders and chemical labels on supplies.
* Previous custodial experience required.
* Demonstrated ability to work in cooperation with team members, staff, and customers.
