SHIFT: 8HOUR, Day EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time HRS PER PAY PERIOD: 80 JOB ID: 1500017820
In collaboration with the physician/medical director, assumes clinical responsibility for tasks performed with the CNM/Nurse Practitioner scope of practice to include: taking patient's history, performing physical examinations. Ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, establishing diagnosis and provide care and management for common illnesses and disease prevention in the female patient. Makes appropriate referrals to specialists and community agencies. Participates in quality assurance and quality improvement programs. Works within multidisciplinary teams to develop plans for the patient and their family. Supervises other Nurse Practitioners and CNMs. Works closely with the administrative and clinical directors for the Center for Women's Health to ensure quality and regulatory compliance in provision of clinical services. Works with the rotating resident programs to ensure proper orientation and transition into the OB triage team. In addition to the routine duties detailed in the CNM/Nurse Practitioner scope of practice, the in-patient specialty CNM/Nurse Practitioner will provide care and management for OB Triage patients, respond to emergency situations, and may also see patients in Labor and Delivery.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 5 years Certified Nurse Midwife experience
Masters of Science in Nursing
Strong verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office suite and EMR
American Heart Association BLS
Registered Nurse in Arizona (or compact)
Certified Nurse Midwife
Advanced Trauma Life Support certified
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years in a leadership role or leadership experience
Certified Nurse Practitioner
