Retail Product Processor

Status : Part-time

Must have open/flexible availability Mon-Sun

Housewares Department: Mon-Fri 7:00am - 4:30pm

(Occasional weekends & evenings)

Pay : $8.23 / hr

We Pay For Performance

Possibility of a pay increase to $8.50/hr

Upon solid performance review rating at the 90 day performance evaluation

Position Overview

This is an entry level position working in a production environment working in our retail stores and preparing product to be sold. You will work with a team of retail and operations professionals and help ensure we make the best use of our resources to help achieve our mission. We prefer you are a team player, professional who is willing to "roll up the sleeves!”

Responsibilities (include but not limited to) :

Production Areas Include: Textiles, Wares, Shoes/Bags, Books/Media, Electronics, Furniture, Mechanical, Bin Goods, and our Donation Center.

· Accepting Donations.

· Sorting donations/product into department production areas.

· Providing excellent Customer Service.

· Assisting Customers with purchases, pricing, or unloading/loading of product.

· Clean inside and outside areas of store to include: organizing shelves and racks, picking up trash, collecting carts, snow removal.

· Making decisions on quality of product and pricing it accordingly, researching value as necessary.

· Adhering to production area dress code to include personal protection equipment/clothing.

· Test product function(s) as required.

· Stocking product on shelves, racks and on sales floor, ensuring the sales floor is fully stocked with new product at all times during hours of operation.

· Rotating/Pulling old/unsold product from sales floor.

· Prepare product for shipping/receiving.

· Dust and clean product prior to placing it on sales floor.

· Work closely with Supervisors to set goals and objectives for your position.

· Learn the production goals and meet them daily.

· Help provide a safe working environment for you, customers and fellow employees.

Qualifications :
  • To be a high-energy, positive thinker.
  • Previous production experience helpful, but not required.
  • Able to withstand prolonged standing, bending and lifting up to 8 hours per day.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs, use dolly and pallet jack as required.
  • Able to move and think quickly.
  • To bring a sense of urgency.
  • Desire to work hard and perform well with dedication and great work ethic.
  • Communicate effectively with managers, supervisors and other associates.
  • Embrace the Goodwill vision and mission.
