Technical Project Lead needed for a long-term contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Charlotte, NC.
Please note that this position does not allow for working remotely, as such the incumbent must be able to work onsite in client's Charlotte, NC location.
Must be currently eligible to work in the US for any employer.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Technical Team Lead - Will be the technical liaison for the PM, scoping, building requirements, working with business / development teams, moving things forward.
- This assignment is within the CIS - Western Carolina Team.
- Understanding requirements and developing application enhancements for large scale applications per IT standards
- Leading the designers and developers assigned to the project
- Assisting the PM with planning
- Working with business partners
- Working with the team throughout the testing cycle to troubleshoot and resolve application defects
- Reviewing, resolving, and escalating risks as needed.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Needs to be "hands-on" technically with whatever they bring to the table. NO FUNCTIONAL LEADS OR PM'S WILL BE INTERVIEWED.
- If they have an OO background, it needs to be JAVA, with solid IBM product (WebSphere, RAD) background.
- Would prefer they also have some COBOL understanding, as that is their legacy system, they'll be working with.
- If they come from a DW/BI background, make sure they have used Informatica as their ETL tool.
- The candidate should have strong project leadership experience and be prepared to follow Duke Energy's project management process. Also, strong English communication skills are required.
- Prior experience with the following is preferred: 1) Large Scale Applications; 2) Customer Billing Systems; 3) Systems with interfaces across multiple platforms.
- Minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years of experience with systems including COBOL, C#, java, and Informatica, DB2, SQL Server, Oracle
- Strong experience in the following:
- Working with business partners and IT project team members
- Assisting the project manager with scheduling and planning
- Assessing scope/requirements to ensure they are met
- Project leadership through the design, build, test, and deployment phases of a project
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with others
