The Bloomingdale's Seasonal Retail Flexible Schedule embraces a work life balance for our associates. It provides our team with a minimum amount of scheduled hours each week and empowers the associates to select additional available shifts that best suits their needs. The busier we are the more hours you can work to earn extra money. You select shifts that are best for you.

If your availability is flexible, you enjoy working in a fast-paced ever changing environment and can deliver an outstanding shopping experience to our customers we would like to meet you!

Our seasonal associates are temporary employees. All seasonal associates may be required to work on weekends, and/or on key holiday shopping events, such as the Friday after Thanksgiving, Friends and Family and Private Sale. Hours are subject to change based on business needs.

Essential Functions:
Impress the Customer

• Be customer aware, friendly and helpful at all times
• Welcome and engage with genuine warmth. Use your personality and unique characteristics
• Actively maintain the appearance of the selling floor while still being aware and available for customers as they enter your department

Sell the Product. Sell the Bloomingdale's Loyallist Program

• Have a Fashion Voice. Share Product knowledge and brand information with your clients.
• Discover the needs of the customer. Ask questions, listen, learn and respond to their needs
• Sell the Bloomingdale's Loyallist Charge Card as the BEST way to shop at Bloomingdale's
• Sell through fulfillment tools and multiple channels to meet the needs of the customer (Search and Send, bloomingdales.com, The Outlet,)
• Collaborate with other associates and managers throughout the store to provide the best Customer Experience

Qualifications



Communication Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to determine customers' needs through friendly interactive dialogue

Other Skills

• A team player who possesses the ability to work in a learning environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple requests
• Understand and ability to use technology

Work Hours

• Ability to work a flexible schedule
