Description

Warehouse Supervisor

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities shift of hourly warehouse workers and is accountable for the timely and efficient management of warehouse responsibilities that implement cost effective measures to assure productivity and effective flow of warehouse operations.

Position Shift and Schedule

This is a full time permanent position working on our 2nd shift. The 2nd shift typically begins at 3:00pm and works until finished. Flexibility to work weekends as well as beyond 40 hours per week is required as business needs dictate.

Position Responsibilities

  1. Scheduling and control warehouse hours including overtime where possible using previous year/budget numbers as a benchmark. Review hours used on a per case basis versus cases shipped and received.
  2. Inspect warehouse layout and ensure all pick slots are full before the start of shift. Document out of stocks in Voice Pick program before start of shift.
  3. Assure that warehouse is organized, neat, and clean every day.
  4. Account of all products being received and shipped. All documentation is accounted for and accurate.
  5. Schedule Fleet Maintenance and authorize all maintenance for equipment utilized in warehouse forklifts and walkie riders.
  6. Assure proper rotation of all products to eliminate product outdating.
  7. Direct effective measures to reduce product breakage in warehouse internally.
  8. 2 nd shift - check in route trucks and bulk trucks returning to warehouse. Check loading of trucks compared to the route issue for accuracy.
  9. Manage building and grounds upkeep and repairs as needed. Minimize utility usage: heat, lights and water.
  10. Train and update warehouse personnel files with regard to forklift training and OSHA requirements.
  11. Assure that safety policies are adhered to and all personnel are wearing proper safety equipment at all times. Follow up and document all warehouse accidents, with recommendations to correct further incidents from taking place.
  12. Assure that all Compliance policies are administered and followed by employees under your supervision and any visitors that may be on the floor during the shift.

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • 3 years of demonstrated leadership experience in warehouse/distribution center operations
  • 2 years of experience with Microsoft Excel
  • 2 years of experience with Occupational Safety Regulations
