Job Description:
Maintain property and operations of building-to contribute to the Guest Satisfaction Policy of the hotel by ensuring that all features of guest rooms as well as the hotel in general are in good working order, safe and attractive through an intensive preventive maintenance program

Entire hotel

Equipment Used
Chemicals, ladders, tools for electrical, carpentry and plumbing work, paints and painting tools

Knowledge/Training:

  • Fluent English, read and write necessary
  • Must possess thorough knowledge of hand and carpentry tools
  • Must be able to make repairs to basic electrical and plumbing systems
  • Must be able to work and communicate with other maintenance personnel, other departments and guests

Essential Tasks:

  • Thoroughly check and repair as needed the electrical systems such as television sets, lighting systems and electrical outlets
  • Keep HVAC units cleaned and in good working order
  • Check and make repairs to general plumbing systems such as toilets, sinks and bathtubs
  • Performs incidental duties as assigned
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-the-house to repair, touchup or replace light bulbs, lamps, switches, faucets, hardware, filter, paint, furniture, grout and other miscellaneous repairs

Requirements

  • All personnel are subject to work in other areas of the hotel in positions not previously listed in your job description as needed.
  • All personnel are expected to work their scheduled days and shifts. Employees are also expected to be able to perform their essential duties with or without any reasonable accommodations.
  • Poor attendance and job performance are grounds for termination.
