POSITION SUMMARY :
Under general supervision, performs tasks required to transport patients via wheelchair, bed, stretcher and/or ambulating to all areas within the Imaging Services providing diagnostic tests.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent GED
1-2 years experience patient transporting preferred
CPR required
Hospital experience highly desired
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide safe and comprehensive transportation of patients between senior clinic and OP departments.
Demonstrate operational knowledge of equipment used to transport patients.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Ability to lift heavy objects.
Ability to learn and administer emergency first aid.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, patients, physicians and management.
