A successful DevOps / TechOps Engineer will have:
- 4 year college degree in Computer Science / Information Technology, Bachelor of Science preferred and 6+ years of professional enterprise development experience, master’s degree is preferred
- Java / object oriented, pattern based enterprise development experience.
- Scripting ability (Bash / Shell, Python, PERL, Ruby, etc.)
- Knowledge of virtualization technology and methods (VMware, Xen, Hypervisor, etc.)
- Agile Development Experience, Chef, Docker, Vagrant, Jenkins, Artifactory, Sonar Qube, Git, Maven, Spock, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Open Stack, VMWare, Maven, Gradle, Jira, Kibana and / or Elastic Search are all nice to haves

- Working with the Dish Community to implement a Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD) environment that will work in this large, complex environment
- Becoming a “DevOps Champion” to help push the required culture changes throughout the organization
