Aerotek is currently looking for a qualified Accounts Payable Specialist for a company in the greater Fife area.
DUTIES:
- Performs a variety of general accounting support tasks in an accounting department
- Verifies accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records
- Updates and maintains accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (i.e., accounts receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, payrolls, receipts, accounts payable)
- Compiles data and prepares a variety of reports. Reconciles records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers
- May reconcile bank and financial statements/report. Recommends actions to resolve discrepancies
- Identify and match invoices and vendor statements; Research and reconcile discrepant invoices and vendor statements
- Match vendor invoices to Purchase Orders and accurately code and post matched invoces to appropritae GL account
- Achive invoices into electronic filing system
- Maintain and monitor Acounts Payable aging reports to meet or exceed company standard
- May act as a back-up to Accounts Receivable
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years experience in Accounts Payable
- Good working knowledge of the Accounts Payable process and general accounting principles
- Strong computer skills
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Detailed, accurate, and organized
