About this job
Assist nurses in all aspects of patient care and daily living activities for patients to include:
1. Attends to the physical apperance of the patient to include baths, hair care, oral care, and nail care.
2. Turns and positions patients
3. Assists with feedings as needed.
4. Observes and measures and records all intake and output
5. Takes and records vital signs
6. Removes catheters and staples as directed.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must be Certified as Nursing Assistant with state of Ga.
One year previous experience as a PCA in acute care preferred
The successful candidate will have:
1. Working knowledge of Patient Care Technician techniques and practices.
2. Knowledge and skills in the application of the techniques and practices of the nursing technician.
3. Ability to understand and follow detailed oral and written instructions and to maintain nursing records and charts.
4. Ability to operate a desktop computer.
5. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, patients, families, and physicians
