Summary of Role:
Producer will report to Senior Producer. Will manage all aspects of our daily sports shows. He/she will be responsible for developing daily as well as long term coverage plans and assigning stories to reporters. Will also be responsible for logistics and satellite coordination of weekend coverage. Will help post-produce special sports programming and will work a flexible schedule including Saturdays, Sundays and nights per week. As Producer, he/she could also be asked to perform on-air talent duties, such as reporting, presenting and/or voice over shows, programs or live events.

Essential Job Functions:

· Creates accurately timed shows that meet format requirements within established deadlines.
· Build rundowns.
· Produces assigned shows, making decisions on story lineup, video/audio, graphics, and timing to construct the show.
· Writes stories for anchors as required. Stories should be written in a clear and concise conversational manner.
· Coordinates with graphic artists in developing the graphics for the show.
· Performs editing functions or fill in as Senior Producer as required.
· Produces and writes special reports as directed by Senior Producers or Managing Editor.
· Works with Associate Producers to create the programs.
· Responsible for accuracy of facts in the on-air product.
· Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that works well with co-workers, supervisors and customers.
· Might be asked to appear on-air by management.

Position Requirements:
Knowledge & Experience (Technical Responsibilities)

· Knowledge of Los Angeles Hispanic community and sports in general is a must.
· Television sports/news producing experience preferred.
· Ability to shoot and edit videotape preferred.
· Thorough knowledge of operation and office policies and procedures. Must have ability to handle various tasks simultaneously, organize, prioritize, make decisions and work efficiently and effectively under deadlines.
· On-air experience is a plus.

Language Skills

· Excellent Spanish-language writing and verbal skills.
· English proficiency is required.

Formal Education & Certification

· Bachelor’s degree in communications, broadcasting, radio/tv/film, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
· 3+ years television sports/news producing experience preferred.
· Strong technical background in non-linear editing.

Travel Requirements:

· Travel depending upon project need. Must have valid passport.

Work Conditions:

· Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time.
· Overtime may be required to meet deadlines.
· Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components.
· On-call availability for 24x7, 365 days per year.
