A Staff Accountant with Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts is responsible for supervising the function of computerized accounting systems, month-end closing reports and General Ledger reconciliation in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

What will I be doing?


As a Staff Accountant, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Perform the daily income audit to ensure accuracy of revenue postings from all outlets and correct internal protocol for any allowances/adjustments.
  • Prepare and distribute accurate and timely daily revenue and labor reports to department managers.
  • Provide support to department managers related to daily reports, metrics or G/L balances.
  • Reconcile cash deposits to system and prepare over/short reports.
  • Manage and maintain condo accounting system database and transactions.
  • Prepare monthly rental statements for condo owners.
  • Assist with the month-end close process, ie. journal entries, researching discrepancies, analysis.
  • Reconcile various balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.

  • Assist in ensuring accurate processing of reports including, but not limited to, month-end closing, monthly forecast and variance, etc.

  • Assist with monthly and quarterly beverage and retail inventories.

  • Conduct monthly bank audits and bi-annual payroll audits.

  • Various projects and duties as needed.
