Weekdays/nights and weekends - perfect for students - Part Time! The Roberts Convention Centre located  in Wilmington Ohio has immediate openings for Banquet Set Up and Utility Workers. The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills, ability to multi-task and the can work in a team environment. Members on this team work to set up our facilities for our meetings and events.

 

 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Provide services to set-up, maintain and tear down all meeting and social function spaces in a timely manner.
  • Follow the daily assigned set-up pack, BEO and diagrams to accurately set meetings and social functions according to the sales contract and property standards. This will include; disposing of trash and recyclables, vacuuming, dusting, gathering and washing serve ware, removing stains from carpet and walls, installing/uninstalling equipment and materials.
  • Ensure that all storage spaces are clean, organized and secured on a daily basis.
  • Maintain the safety of the Conference Center by ensuring all pathways, entrances/exits are free of equipment and obstacles.
  • Maintain and monitor all unused spaces daily to ensure the spaces are secure, clean and tour ready.
  • Properly store meeting room supplies such as linen, notepads, candy, water, pens, chairs, tables, stage and dance floor.
  • Report all damaged equipment to maintenance for timely repair.
  • Support the break attendants as needed to set-up, tear down and monitor all break stations. Assist the break attendants throughout the day to refresh meeting spaces.
  • Uphold the high standards of guest service by proactively assisting guests when needed.
  • Support the Manager with shipping and receiving to help deliver packages to guests and associates.
  •  Assist the sales and planning offices as needed to determine set-up layouts for future meetings including the mock sets of meeting spaces.
  •  Assist associates in other departments.
  •  Complete all other requests as needed.

 

Our compensation package includes a $8.25 hourly wage and benefits including dining and travel discounts, special offers from our business partners, and discount programs for selected cell phone providers. Requirements

  • Heavy workloads requiring the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force and the ability to regularly lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift, pull and push heavy objects frequently throughout the shift.
  • Ability to bend, twist, reach and stand for extended lengths of time.
  • Must be able to work outside during all seasons and weather conditions.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Previous hotel experience is beneficial.
