We are a Dental Service Organization that provides services to affiliated dental offices that specialize in providing affordable dental and oral health care in California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado & Texas. We support dental practices under the brands Western Dental and Brident Dental & Orthodontics. We are currently looking for bright, motivated, Dental Hygienists across our many offices to build our Hygiene program, help us grow "patients for life", and become a leading periodontal health-focused practice. In addition to technical duties, the Dental Hygienist will play an important role in teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene techniques and offer counseling regarding good nutrition and its impact on oral health. Key Responsibilities:

Perform proper scaling and root plaining procedures, including full mouth debridement Administer local anesthesia (under direct supervision of dentist present in facility - hygienist must have evidence of satisfactory completion of a board-approved course to administer, in states where applicable). Place locally-administered antibiotics as supportive periodontal therapy. Implement irrigation and desensitizing procedures or products as adjunctive to periodontal therapy. Document the presence of any abnormalities or suspected diseases or conditions while screening patients' teeth, bone, and periodontal tissues. Provide oral prophylaxis, fluoride, sealants, preventive dentistry procedures, and non-surgical periodontal therapy Educate and instruct patients on importance of dental health, proper oral hygiene; offer recommendations for products/services; provide other health care education as necessary Schedule follow-up appointments and recommend patient recall intervals Ensure all OSHA, Dental Board, and WDS policies and procedures are properly followed Documentation and charting; Electronic Health Records Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned and allowed under applicable state laws and regulations.

Requirements:

Minimum two years Associates degree (University-based dental hygiene programs, baccalaureate and/or master's degrees preferred) State certification and successful completion of hygienist licensure examinations (national and state or regional). Minimum of two years of work experience Experience working in a fast-paced dental environment; DSO/Group Practice experience preferred Bilingual - Spanish/ English preferred Must have a current X-Ray License & CPR certification Ability to travel between locations preferred
