Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing the payment of hotel bills after verifying the accuracy and approval of all documents. This position requires basic knowledge of accounting operations, mathematical skills, written and verbal English language communication skills, and the ability to respond to guest and associate concerns in a friendly and positive manner.This position reports to the Accounting Manager. Candidate is preferred to have a minimum of 2 – 5 years of previous Accounts Payable Experience. Hotel experience preferred. This individual must have the ability to compile facts and figures as well as verify invoices for accuracy. The candidate will have an accounting background and excellent computer skills, including MS Excel, Lotus, and Microsoft Word. The individual must possess excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented as well as demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively via phone and written correspondence. Two year college degree required preferably with a focus in accounting.
