Sr. Financial Analyst Job - Full-time / Part-time

Sr. Financial Analyst needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Silver Spring, MD

The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:

- Essential member of the FP&A team assisting with SG&A expense monitoring, planning and forecasting, and various other projects.

What you'll be doing:

- Drive month end close and forecast activities including general ledger entries, revenue recognition, expense accruals and expense forecasting for multiple networks
- Lead network overhead expense reporting and provide support to network management on expense review and management. Recommend corrective action when necessary.
- Support monthly and quarterly financial reporting activities, including preparation of monthly forecast and reporting packs
- Monitor monthly and quarterly performance through management reporting by identifying trends and analyzing variances.
- Work with Senior Director, CFO and network department heads to develop, review and compile network P&L in preparation of the annual business plan.
- Proactively direct and maintain high standards of accountability within the team to demand and deliver superior quality financial information on time-sensitive basis.
- Review contracts and proposed spending
- Perform other reporting projects or duties as assigned
- Work on special projects as needed.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- BS in Finance, Accounting or related field or an equivalent combination of skills, training, and experience required; MBA preferred
- 4-6 years experience in financial analysis, business planning or accounting
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills required
- Self-starter with willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, work independently, and a strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Access and Word. Knowledge of SAP/BPC a plus.
