Sodexo is seeking an experienced Food Services Manager for St Mary's College -- a faith based college in Moraga, CA -- in the Bay Area of Northern California. Sodexo and St Mary's have a long standing partnership. Campus Dining Programs consist of a traditional resident dining program of about 1400 on meal plans, 2 retail locations, concessions and high volume catering. This Food Services Manager will be responsible for Marketing, Safety, Hiring, Resident Dining and Food Retail; will report to the General Manager; and will oversee up to 50 employees and 2 Sodexo Managers.

The ideal candidate will:

Have previous Food operations management in a larger university setting or large volume sectors of Healthcare, Sports and Leisure, or large corporate settings; Demonstrate proven financial acumen/success: Food costs/ labor costs, budgets. Be a people person with a strong focus with maintaining positive client relations; a solid manager/leader who is perceptive and has attention to details that make a difference -- quality and presentation of food -- customer service -- Be a multi-tasker, organized, innovative and an effective leader who can motivate their staff. -- strong employee engagement through developing, mentoring, training and motivating encouraging staff to a high level of execution and pride/passion for what they do. Be customer focused-- including providing excellent customer service in a welcoming dining environment. Seeking Bilingual candidates -- the ability to speak Spanish would be helpful managing this workforce. Position Summary

Responsible for managing multi-functional food service areas in a single account/unit. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED

Basic Management Experience - 1 year

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
