About this job

Our client is looking for an Instructional Systems Designer to work on Federal Government projects (DoD, DOT, HHS, NIH, EPA, MARC Center, etc) in Northern Virginia. This will 100% be web based development for government employees and integrators. This position is being created due to the long term needs for instructional design in each of the departments they support with the government.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop complex, diverse instructional systems design projects, including paper-based and computer-based formats, using Instructional Systems Design (ISD) model.
- Develop instructionally valid training, testing, and post-training evaluation materials by analyzing and interpreting user requirements, technical specifications, application features, and functions to translate them into appropriate training formats.

Required Qualifications

-5+ years of total Development Experience in high Level programming language such as Java, C++, C#, etc...
-1 or more years experience with Java development
-Understanding and knowledge of object-oriented design principles
-Demonstrated expertise and knowledge of graphics rendering algorithms and architectures
-Knowledge of industry-standard graphic design software on Mac/PC platform
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-4 year degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
-The ability to obtain and hold a secret clearance

Desired Qualifications Include
-At least 1 years experience in thin-client development using technologies like HTML5, CSS3, WebGL and Javascript (example d3.js, AngularJS)
-Experience in the Cyber Security domain
-Experience with Agile development and scrum methodology
