This position is responsible for the sale of renewals for groups of 2-99 eligible subscribers. The position is responsible for retaining all small business customers through exceptional service and through development of strong relationships with customers, general agents and brokers.
Primary Responsibilities:
At least 51% of the time must be spent on taking full responsibility on the sale of 51-99 renewals for which he/she is assigned, including negotiating with Underwriting, positioning the renewal with the broker, and closing the sale
Renews existing business (51-99 life segment) and sells new business to existing accounts (NBEA)
Supports sales efforts targeted at potential new and renewal accounts; collaborate with Account Executive/Broker Account Executive to determine appropriate product(s) to position to brokers/customers
Conducts end to end customer experience which will include an organized series of proactive touch points direct to client/group
Use designated systems to track and report activity (i.e. Atlas)
Leads, directs and conducts enrollment/benefit meetings and health fairs for assigned business
Trains and consults with brokers and employers on enrollment, benefits and electronic service processes
Influences, demonstrates and trains employer groups about UnitedHealthcare's online electronic services, tools, and technologies
Coaches and supports Account Consultants in managing: 1) Timeliness and quality of support provided to AEs, management, customers, and brokers 2) number and quality of customer/broker training sessions delivered on eServices and business impact resulting from that training
Promotes and supports the SB service model
Participates in special projects as requested by management
Oversees analysis and identification of root causes of complex service issues for brokers and customers. Directs dedicated functional experts (billing, customer service, claims, etc.) on corrective action steps to ensure end to end resolution of the issue

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
State Life and Health Insurance License
Must be able to 25% of the time within the state of CA
2+ years of Sales, Account Management or Customer Service experience in the Insurance or Financial Services Industry
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Benefit Enrollment with Account Management or new business sales in a Managed Healthcare Industry
Bachelor's Degree
