The Implementation Manager is responsible for the successful program design, compliance with network requirements, network assessment and selection, and program/product implementation. This includes enterprise-wide Clinically Integrated Network teams that focus on specific clinical area Lines of Service to improve the quality and affordability through improvements in appropriateness and effectiveness. Implementation Managers may perform network analysis and strategy development and implementation; obtain data, verify validity of data, and analyze data as required, and analyze network availability and access. Other responsibilities may also include making recommendations regarding use, expansion, selection of networks for various products based on that analysis.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Lead cross-functional project team through successful completion of partner-involved collaborative innovations in a matrix team environment
Interface with Providers and partners representing UnitedHealth Care initiatives
Drive collaboration both internally and externally to complete long-term pilots and make quantitative impact
Work closely with Network Management/UHN  Directors to prioritize, track, communicate and advance initiatives regionally and nationally
Create business case for initiatives
Track progress with dashboards, reporting and apply quantified analysis of each initiative
Establish metrics for imitative/program success and evaluation, using strong analytical skills
Lead multiple projects and facilitate project activities to ensure project specifications and timelines are met
Follow-up with stakeholders on deliverables, tracking and communicating status and proactively think of next steps
Collaborate with Network, clinical and IT professionals, internally and externally, to facilitate electronic data transfer to support clinical programs that involve partners and help impact business objectives, partners', customers' and members' health outcomes
Define project scope and objectives based on business unit needs combined with a thorough understanding of enterprise business requirements
Provide subject matter expertise in areas including project scope definition, business requirement gathering, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation with clinical data program
Assesses and interpret customer needs and requirements
Define partner expectations regarding the business needs/requirements, deliverables and outcomes
Interface with multiple business units such as Quality Management and Performance, Clinical Services, Marketing, National Accounts, STARS, claims, physicians, Health Plans and executive management
Serve as an expert resource regarding the integration of provider technical capabilities and business needs
Apply knowledge of program development or production systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients
Develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal customers and external partners in order to influence project teams and gain consensus on the selection of the most viable solutions
Track progress and notify management of issues that require escalation, and assume responsibility for resolving or coordinating the resolution of system and process issues
Work with Account Directors to provide project plans updates, and manage specific tasks to ensure project success
Collaborate on and oversee various projects as assigned that are cross-functional in nature
Make recommendations to leadership on people, process and technology changes in order to bring project back on schedule and/or within scope
Create or manage the development of various Project artifacts; e.g., Project charter, integrated Project plan, Project implementation plan, weekly Project sponsor reporting
Perform all other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
3+ years of experience in project management and business analysis experience
2+ years of provider facing engagement experience
Intermediate level of business analyst experience gathering and documenting business requirements, determining scope of work in a multi-phase project, and experience implementing change management
5+ years of combined business experience in healthcare
Intermediate level of proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated success in leading initiatives in a multi-region or divisional, complex organization
Experience developing and/or improving clinical data programs
Comfortable with ambiguity
Ability to solve problems creatively
Ability to create programs from scratch
Innovation experience
Experienced and comfortable presenting project deliverables to leadership, both written and verbal
Strong relationship building skills
Ability to influence peers and leadership across multiple business areas
Experience managing multiple-parallel business development efforts
PMP Certification
Experience with Microsoft Project, Access and Visio
