Job Responsibilities
As a Home Care Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality patient care according to the specific orders of each patient's individual physician. This is a perfect opportunity for you to expand on any pediatric or adult home care experience that you may have while making a positive and much-needed difference in the lives of both children and adults as well as their families.
Specific duties for the RN / LPN role include:
Observing and assessing client condition and care needs continuously. Reporting changes in condition to the supervisor and/or physician as appropriate Developing, implementing and updating the nursing care plan Providing direct, hands-on care to assigned clients Documenting all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care in a timely manner whenever care is delivered Recognizing changes in client needs and responses requiring intervention and implementing care to prevent risk or reduce risk Accepting responsibility for personal and professional accountability by complying with PSA policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies and the Nurse Practice Act Maintaining knowledge of competencies related to the nursing profession by participating in educational programs, continuing education units, Mosby skills and skill evaluations Participating in orientation of new nurses upon request. Position Requirements
As a Home Care Nurse, you must be caring, patient, and adaptable with strong clinical assessment and independent problem-solving skills. It is also important that you have solid time management abilities as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an empathetic and compassionate bedside manner.
Specific qualifications for the nursing role include:
