What You'll Do

The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company's regular full-time staff, and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule. In this position you will:

Write all requisitions and follow up on any associated issues with purchase orders for Marketing Communications department

Support Manager with department budget tracking

Assist with monitoring public website e-mail box, assembling answers, and authoring answers to customers and inquirers

Assist Web Business Analyst with various projects

Load data in the Product Catalog, the Portal, and JohnDeere.com

Assist Marketing Communications Specialists and Trade Show Coordinator with various administrative projects

What It Takes

We need excellent communicators, who thrive on solving problems and working in a team environment. Ideally, you will be pursuing a degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications or Accounting/Finance; others may qualify. In addition, we require:

Must be registered as a full-time student at a Waterloo area university

Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis

Graduation date of May 2017 or later

Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above

16 - 20 hours/week during the academic year

35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word

A strong candidate will also have:

Graphic design experience or classes

Experience with creation/production of CD's, DVD's, and printed materials

Web site maintenance or development

Experience/knowledge of accounting
