Position Summary:
Sysco Charlotte is located at: 4500 Corporate Drive, NW, Concord, NC 28026
The schedule for this position is: Sunday - Thursday// 9am - 6pm.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates the timely dispatches of all Delivery and Shuttle drivers. Assists and supports the Transportation Department daily using RoadNet, Xata, and STS. Uses payroll procedures, Roadnet, Xata and STS to assist in driver assignments.
Collects and distribute invoices and related paperwork.
Ensures that the Delivery and Shuttle Drivers depart on time with correct invoices and equipment.
Prints, distributes, collects, audits, and files Delivery and Shuttle Drivers Department of Transportation (DOT) Logs either manually or electronic.
Collects data and compiles reports such as the Yard Time and Service Issues report.
Communicates departmental information to drivers, addresses complaints and listens to and than funnels requests or problems as directed by Transportation management.
Compiles records on Overlooks, Shorts and Damages (OSD) on drivers.
Utilizes XATA and other data to track and report driver and department performance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and related experience and/or training; combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of delivery/service areas preferred.
General knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) and Commercial Driver License (CDL) rules and regulations preferred.
Other Skills and Abilities
Must have a flexible work schedule, will be required to nights and some weekends.
Must comply with SYSCO Charlotte's policies and work rules.
Must comply with SYSCO's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics standards and Anti-trust laws.
Ability to communicate and work both together and independently with other associates, including all levels of management.
Must possess good listening and verbal communication skills.
Ability to organize several tasks or duties during the course of a shift.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients, customers, and other associates of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw interpret bar graphs.
Computer Skills
Must possess computer skills and should have knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems including Microsoft Excel and Word.
AS/400 and Tripmaster experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations A valid Commercial Driver License Class A with double endorsements, would be an asset but not required.
