Join the rapidly growing world of e-commerce groceries! Ahold eCommerce Sales Company is opening a new facility in Jersey City which will supply product for an expanded Peapod operation in the northeast.

Ahold eCommerce Sales Company is in search of an energetic and customer oriented professional to offer IT support from End User to Operating systems in this highly automated distribution center. The ideal candidate will be excited by the challenge of being in a high growth environment that is going through rapid evolution as the entire landscape of the internet business continues to change.

Responsibilities:
* Acts as first line of escalation for problems of a crucial nature, providing support to high-end servers, network and voice systems such as Dematics server communication, T1 and Thin Client, Data Center maintenance
* Provides 24/7 direct and on-call support in the day-to-day operations with all systems; duties include evaluation of system performance, system troubleshooting, remote user support, planning system upgrades, planning application roll out, and maintaining desktop images
* Ensure all technical security guidelines are followed to minimize risk to the company in the infrastructure environment that includes testing and implementing critical security patches and upgrades will ensuring minimal and/or no downtime to the facility
* Identify, analyze, Implement and Support applications and Operating Systems; including but not limited to, Warehouse Management Systems, Material Handling Systems, Picking Systems, Email Systems, Unix based systems, Microsoft application systems, Apple applications systems
* Comprehend, Diagnose and Resolve problems relating to the topology of the network (including but not limited to) Network, Windows, Unix, VPN, Wireless, VOIP, Phone Systems
* Understand the mechanical systems and programming concepts; including but not limited to, software relations and other functionalities in the Warehouses: supports and shares appropriate knowledge with other internal teams and vendors. Uses this knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues, and where necessary, escalates issues to the appropriate team or outside vendor
* Trouble-shoot complex problems and research and implement resolutions individually and in a team environment to, and works with Infragroup teams on deployments and installs
* Assist management with project implementations including design, testing and deployment of new business initiatives and enhancements of environment
* Collaborate with end user contacts, IT system administrators, and management to resolve high-visibility technical problems on mission critical system
* Evaluate the design and implementation of hardware and software to end users while improving and utilizing diagnostics and utilities.
* Research new technologies, offer new solutions to the team and lead proposals and project recommendations, as well as, works with team and management on future enhancements with systems and applications
* Write technical documentation for all new systems and processes that affect Infrastructure Environments, as well as trains other team members and end users.
* Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Essential Skills:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
* 5 - 7 years in a technical role and 2 - 3 years of technical customer service experience
* Exposure to Microsoft SQL / Oracle / Cisco Knowledge / VoIP Knowledge / Virtualization Technologies (VMWare) a must
* Exposure to Tape Library (Spectralogic) / Backup Systems Support (Commvault) / Manhattan WMS Software / PLC Knowledge and/or Dematic System Solutions a plus
* Strong sense of urgency with the ability to work within tight deadlines
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Must be open to travel
