Our Staff Nurse positions are critical to the success of Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital and require the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health. It is expected that our employees demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.
The Staff Nurse performs the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe, therapeutic care for patients with overt and covert needs, appropriate to patient age. Assists with managing the patient care administered by other members of the nursing staff. Assumes responsibility and accountability of total patient care and relief charge nurse duties. This position treats/cares for patients of all ages.
REQUIREMENTS :
*Six (6) months or more of acute care experience required.
*Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
*Ability to perform IV sedation within 3 mos of employment. If not in posession of PALS/ACLS cert, must acquire within 6 mos.
*Current Registered Nurse licensure to practice nursing in California.
*Current BLS certification required.
PREFERRED :
*BSN Preferred
*1 year critical care, intensive care, or post anesthesia care experience preferred
*CPAN or CAPA national certifications preferred
