Florida Hospital seeks to hire a Home Health Aide Private Division who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.

The Courtland Office Plaza is conveniently located a few miles outside downtown Orlando and is home to over 700 employees that support our hospital system including the Florida Hospital Home Care Service, Management Information Systems, Nursing Informatics and Florida Hospital Healthcare System.
Department Profile:
Home Care Services provides home health care to clients in Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties. Florida Hospital Home Care Services is a highly skilled team generally treats geriatric patients utilizing the latest technology. We provide services out of our central offices localized in Orlando and have complete electronic medical record.

Job Summary:
The Home Health Aide is a member of the home health care team who works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Therapist and performs various personal care services, household services, activities supportive to the therapeutic regime and other related supportive tasks as necessary to meet the patient's needs in the home.
The home health aide is responsible for observing patients, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed.
Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Knowledge, Skills, Education & Experience Required:
Completion of mandatory 40 education hours for Home Health Aide - course must comply with State of Florida Statute Section 400.497(1); and/or
Completion of continuing education courses as required by Certified Nursing Assistant licensure
Well organized and able to set priorities.
Demonstrates organizational, good time management and communication skills.
Is flexible and self motivated.
Ability to follow responsibilities through to completion.
Current CPR card
High School Diploma ( Preferred )
License, Certification or Registration Required:
Valid Florida Driver's license
Current auto insurance
From educational institution: Home Health Aide certification or letter of verification of mandatory education (see Education Required section above) and/or
State of Florida Certified Nursing Assistant license
Job Responsibilities:
Demonstrates through behavior Florida Hospital's core Values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship and Teamwork.
Provides patient care according to a plan of care developed by the RN.
Maintains a clean, safe and healthy environment.
Documents all care provided.
Report changes in patient's condition and recognizes emergencies.
Promotes patient independence according to the care plan.
Provides transportation as directed by the patient care plan.
Takes and records vital signs and assists patient with self medication.
Adheres to infection control policies, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs hand washing per policy, and uses correct bag technique.
Uses supplies efficiently.
Adheres to agency policies and procedures.
Attend mandatory meetings, training sessions, in-services and team meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
