Job Responsibilities: The clinical support position performs all nursing functions appropriatefor a physician medical practice including, but not limited to: assisting staffphysician, patient assessment, blood drawing, and injection administration, patient education, ordering of medical supplies, assist with other office functions as needed. The CMA position is under the direct supervision of the Clinical Provider. Education:
High School graduate or equivalent.
MA graduate of an approved school.
Maintains current national credentialing.
Maintain Basic Life Support Certification.
Other certificates as required by area of clinical specialty.
Experience:
1-2 years medical office experience preferred.
Pediatric Experience a plus!
Skills:
The CMA will be cross trained to work both front end and back end responsibilities.
Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills.
Able to deal with multiple personalities and an older patient demographic base.
Flexible and motivated.
Familiar with procedure and diagnosis coding.
Phlebotomy experience.
Portable EKG testing experience.
Computer proficiency.
Performs all aspects of direct patient care.
Works with other disciplines and ancillary services in the care they provide.
