URS, an AECOM Company is immediately hiring for Motor Vehicle mechanic Inspectors at Ft. Polk, LA.

Ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience related to vehicle maintenance, have diagnostic troubleshooting and repair experience in the Army 63B/91B Series MOSs, or equivalent or have completed an apprenticeship and/or formal training in vehicle maintenance operations, supervision, inspection, QA or related areas of specialty, with 3-5 years of experience (With-in the last year). Must have current CDL.

Candidate must have rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience. Must also possess superb mechanical skills, as well as knowledge of hydraulics and / or pneumatic systems diesel turbine power plants / packs, diesel power plants / packs, compression ignition engine fuel systems, compression ignition air induction systems, vehicle air cooling systems, vehicle liquid cooling systems, electrical systems, automatic transmission assemblies, vehicle transmission assemblies, transfer assemblies, hydraulic brake systems, mechanical / hydraulic steering systems, fire extinguisher / suppression systems. Knowledge of Army/Marine Corps maintenance technical publications are a must.

The selected candidate must have a current valid valid driver's license.

Job Description:

* Provides quality control inspection as well as performs work in the occupational area for which the lead has several years of experience. This could be for occupational areas such as mechanics, maintenance, and repairs, material handling, and automotive transportation/mobile equipment.

* May involve inspection of various repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks, machinery, maintenance, or tractors.

* Performs work and guidance involving most of the following: Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required; replacing worn or broken parts.
