Providence is calling a Service Specialist to Providence Health Plans Murray Business Center in Beaverton, OR.
In this position, you will: Be a member of a service team that supports multiple regions and whose primary purpose is to provide Health Plan customers with outstanding, seamless service. Be responsible for the first line of communication with a variety of customers, including existing and potential members, providers, and employers. Provide detailed benefit, eligibility and premium information on a broad portfolio of products. Assist members in selecting medical homes and primary care physicians. Educate members and providers in the appropriate use of health plan and clinic services. Research and respond to claims and authorization inquiries. Resolve customer issues and concerns.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or GED Two (2) years of experience in a high pressure customer facing environment with a proven track record of learning and applying complex concepts Demonstrated data entry skills and PC processing skills in a Windows based environment Exceptional customer service skills Ability to adapt, educate, and empower a variety of customers, ranging from the highly educated to the most vulnerable in society Appreciation of cultural diversity and sensitivity toward target populations Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and to make quick judgments to address various situations
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Basic medical terminology Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) International Classification of Diseases, 9th Revision (ICD-9) and/or ICD-10 coding knowledge
