Director, Project Management
Marketing Services/Project Management
Reports to VP Creative Services

The Director, Project Management leads the team that oversees daily operations for Marketing & Creative Services with respect to content development and pricing accuracy in all integrated marketing for the U.S. and Puerto Rico. This includes responsibility for end-to-end workflow analysis to drive short-and long-term improvements in overall effectiveness of the marketing organization.

The Project Management Director works closely with Merchandising and Store Operations leadership to enable organizational alignment and timely decision making that supports sales and margin. Regularly interfaces with executives and cross-functional leaders from Marketing, Creative, Production, eCommerce, Visual and PR/Corporate Communications.

Responsibilities




* Benchmarks the organization’s current marketing workflow and processes against industry best practices, and develops a roadmap for continuous improvement
* Identifies, recommends and leads the implementation of these opportunities, including directing cross-functional teams
* Leads exploratory conversations, extracts requirements, and facilitates business-critical decision-making to keep marketing efforts on strategy and on schedule
* Develops reporting that captures operational status & functional issues/metrics
* F acilitates daily/weekly status meetings and reviews priority of open issues; identifies opportunities and threats associated with projects and initiatives
* Works with Marketing partners on yearly planning process
* Serves as an operational subject matter expert; leads the documentation of business and technical process maps

* Leads, inspires and motivates team to drive excellence, process innovation and results, to meet productivity standards and to maintain high morale
* Cultivates talent and develops leadership succession plan
* Manages outside labor costs, providing accurate monthly estimates based on current workload and prior year expenditures
* Evaluates ongoing organizational needs, structure, and workflow for rapidly changing company needs.
* Recruits talented, collaborative, high-performing team members that consistently deliver results



# Qualifications






* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
* 7-10 years of project, account and/or traffic management experience in a retail or other fast-paced, high-volume environment
* 7 years of team leadership experience; proven track record of developing individuals, teams and retaining talent
* Minimum 3 years of experience with complex advertising workflow systems
* Strategic – understands the business and how to align the organization to support objectives; anticipates impact of rapidly changing media on process
* Analytical - strong problem-solving skills
* Creative – develops innovative solutions to address changing business needs
* Superior communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; develops strong stakeholder relationships with business leaders throughout the organization
* Able to adapt to and operate effectively in fast-paced and evolving omnichannel environment; h ighly effective at prioritization and multi-tasking under pressure of tight deadlines
* Proactive and resourceful; strong initiative
* Detail-oriented, thorough, and accountable with excellent follow-through
* Working knowledge of production costs and processes for all media
