Industrial Steel Painter Location: New Columbia, PA Schedule- M-F 2:30-11pm Starting Rate of Pay: $10.00/hr +/- depending on experience Do you have painting experience? Primary purpose of this position: Operates cone, disk, or nozzle type electrostatic painting equipment to spray negatively charged paint particles onto positively charged work pieces. Essential Duties include but are not limited to: Able to determine materials in need of grinding, selecting proper grinding tool and grit disk. Prepares and preps all parts (standard or special) with filler material to ensure a smooth finish and grinds piece to provide a quality surface for finishing. Cleans all parts and products in proper manner to ensure good paint adhesion. Review order quote, order entry document, general assembly and part details to determine proper color paint and mix special paints as required for each product. Able to apply standard product finishes ensuring complete coverage on all product. Able to review own work and proceeds to correct any defects before product moves to the next department. Cleans and repairs spray equipment to ensure it is operational and working properly. Education and/or Experience include but are not limited to: *1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience *Experience painting in the auto body industry is preferred but not mandatory *Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos *Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
