The Distribution Operations Center team is recruiting for a Commerical Driver's License (CDL) Driver, Class A -- Supply Chain, to support the Providence Distribution Operations Center in Lacey, WA.

The CDL Driver Class A will be responsible for delivering product to multiple locations throughout Washington and Oregon. The employee will unload the freight with a hand truck or pallet jack, safely driving late model tractor trailers. This may be a day or night shift position to include one overnight route per week and weekends.

In this position you will:

Comply with all company policies, local and work safety rules, and federal, state and local regulations that govern the industry.

Operate a tractor-trailer combination in urban, suburban, and rural environments and in all types of weather conditions between company facilities and various customers.

Receive and verify dispatch instructions; complete necessary paperwork for trailer placarding, delivery documents, and driver HOS logs.

Check gauges and visual indicators for malfunctions, ensure seal on trailers and conduct inspection of vehicle before and during trips to determine problems that may be occurring.

Promptly report all problems to Transportation and Facilities Manager.

Work the dock to include loading and unloading freight with care to ensure load integrity.

Required qualifications for this position include:

A high school diploma or equivalent.

Have a minimum of ten years verifiable commercial driving experience with similar equipment.

Be at least 23 years.

Have verifiable adverse weather, mountain pass experience with chain-up and doubles.

Have no record of moving violations to include, DUI, Reckless Driving, License Suspension or Accidents during the past three years.

Possess a Class A CDL, with Hazmat and Doubles/Triples endorsements.

Have a valid DOT Medical Certification.

Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to converse with general public, understand traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, read a bill of landing, and make accurate entries in a daily driving log.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

Ability to obtain a TWIC card.

Have troubleshooting knowledge of systems and components of commercial vehicles.

Experience and requisite strength to safely handle general freight and equipment in an LTL operation.

Possess working knowledge of FMCSA Safety Regulations, including Hours of Service, the effects of fatigue and logbooks.
