About this job
Observe and follow all environmental, health and safety procedures.
Comply with all company policies and procedures
Complete all training as assigned and in the time allotted
Participate in Continuous Improvement activities
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Complete other duties as assigned
Adhere to all engineering instruction, standard operation procedures, and all departmental procedures
Observe and follow all UTC Cardinal Rules and Minimum Operating Requirements (MOR's)
Lockout and tag out. Confined Space Entry Fall Protection Fire Safety Electrical Safety Forms and fabricates parts and components for experimental projects or repairs to machines, equipment, or facilities working from graphics, written, or verbal direction and specifications
Analyze and repair of all malfunctioning equipment or systems i.e., Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Electro-mechanical
Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
Performs pump and coupler alignment .
Runs conduit and installs electrical equipment
Familiarity with Distributive Control System
Preventative maintenance on all equipment
Maintain accurate records and logs
Follow written and verbal instructions
Operate the following equipment and tools:
Fork truck Big Joe 3-ton and 5-ton Cranes. Bore-a -Scope Various hand tools Various power tools (drills, saws, etc) Operates high-pressure boilers and tests their safety devices. Performs water treatment analysis and takes corrective action
Assist other departments as necessary with approval from your management team
Other requirements:
Return tools and equipment to their proper location. When needed, calls vendors for technical support, parts information, or component literature. Continues on-the-job education
