About this job

Responsibilities:

The Supervisor of Maintenance will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of restaurants the physical building and facilities as well as all restaurant equipment and fixtures. In addition, the Supervisor of Maintenance will oversee the management of our outsource provider facilities maintenance teams providing support to the local restaurants. Ensuring the teams diligently respond to reported preventative maintenance, repairs, remodels and new restaurant acquisition facilities issues. The Supervisor of Maintenance will ensure employee safety and protection of company assets while maintaining exceptional customer service by both the Supervisor of Maintenance as a maintenance mechanic  as well as the outsource provider maintenance teams. This position will be responsible for overseeing financial and budgetary decisions as well as working as an individual achiever in providing hands on maintenance.

Main Accountabilities:

  •  Ensure all work on assigned service calls for the Supervisor of Maintenance as an individual maintenance mechanic achiever as well as the outsource provider teams are completed timely and diligently, while helping to prioritize projects with each technician and ensuring all requests are accurately logged, hours and costs for assigned maintenance tasks are billed correctly to each of the individual restaurant stores in the chain.
  • Supervise a team of outsource provider technicians to ensure high level of service and successful completion of all work orders.
  • Monitor and conduct repairs and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
  • Act as point of contact for emergency situations that affect the restaurants on a 24/7 basis.
  • Interact with and monitor performance of outsourced vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications.
  • Partner with the restaurant management team to effectively manage each restaurants maintenance budget.
  • Approve all work orders, inventory purchases and outsourced provider invoices.
  • Maintain vendor relationships, and provide quarterly business reviews on vendor performance.
  • Order all restaurant repair and replacement parts and equipment. 
  • Order and maintain proper equipment parts inventory.
  • Log and maintain preventative maintenance program and monitor progress of open work orders and service provider team hours.
  • Maintain outside surplus supply and warehouse facility
  • Provide logistic support throughout restaurant chain with assigned maintenance truck
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

  • 2 year relevant technical degree or an equivalent in education and experience
  • Must be a licensed HVAC technician
  • Wendy’s restaurant experience preferred Knowledge& Skills
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with all customers, employees, contractors, and vendors.
  • Must be organized and provide deliverables in support of project plans.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multi-functional tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and against strict time constraints.
  • Able to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Able to walk, bent, stoop, balance, crawl, and reach for extended periods of time.
  • Able to lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Willing and able to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Basic knowledge of commercial plumbing and electrical.
  • Comprehensive knowledgeable of basic hand tools, electrical meters, and power tools.
  • Ability to read and understand building design plans, equipment diagrams, wiring diagrams, control diagrams
  • Knowledge of fume hoods and associated fire protection equipment associated with restaurants
  • Knowledge of relevant electrical codes associated with restaurants
  • Knowledge of fire and life safety codes associated with restaurants
  • Knowledge of relevant food safety and health codes associated with restaurants
  • 10-15 years of fast food restaurant industry related experience
  • Driver’s License with good driving record.
