This position will operate primarily from the LifeLine base in Terre Haute

The position exists to manage clinical outcomes, cost, and customer satisfaction in the daily care assignment and in the operations of the transport. The incumbent assures care for patients and families reflective of the organization values. This position coordinates the nursing and interdisciplinary team for daily patient care assignments. Additionally, this position exists to provide assessment and appropriate interventions to stabilize the patient for transport through the use of critical thinking skills. The incumbent will collaborate with the control physician pertaining to the delivery of care. Responsible for communicating effectively with the referral and receiving medical personnel to ensure customer service objectives are met. The incumbent assures care for patients and families reflective of the organization values.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Minimum of one (1) year experience preferred. Requires current certification as Indiana EMT. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. Requires current certification in POC testing. Requires eligibility to obtain additional state licensure as needed. Prefer a current passport or eligibility to obtain passport. Requires valid Indiana Drivers License. Requires Emergency Vehicle Operator Certification (EVOC) within 6 months of employment. Requires computer literacy. Requires NIMS IS 100, 200, 700, & 800 within 6 months of hire. PHTLS preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. Requires ability to provide high level of patient confidentiality. Requires strong written and verbal communication skills at staff; patient and family levels. Requires ability to react appropriately in any environmental or situation.
