Position Description

Job Purpose

The Director of Advanced Sales Support is responsible for executing advanced market strategies that drive sales and support retention of clients. This includes providing consultative life sales expertise and analysis on issues concerning large case planning and development, and complex insurance strategies. Additionally, this role is responsible for providing dynamic consultative case support to the retail community via multiple distribution channels including but not limited to BGAs, IMOs, Broker-Dealers as well as wirehouse. The candidate will also partner with multiple internal business units in a collaborative business environment to provide cutting-edge solutions in the estate, business, charitable and retirement planning arena.

The candidate will report directly to the SVP of Brokerage Distribution and is based in Houston, Texas.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Develop and design, in collaboration with marketing and other partners, advanced market sales concepts and advanced market sales and training materials, including concepts and materials relating to the use of insurance products for estate and business planning purposes, charitable giving and executive benefits.

* Create, develop and manage advanced markets campaigns (e.g., the role of life insurance in small businesses) on a timely basis. This includes designing printed materials, Power Point presentations, Excel Spreadsheet calculations and website-accessed media targeted for both producers and consumers.

* Create customize client case design via software.

* Market AIG to specified IMOs and producers designed to showcase the AGL's Advanced Sales resources and capabilities, develop and enhance relationships, and to encourage additional sales.

* Work closely with internal and external sales on case design and development, especially as it relates to complex cases.

* Deliver internal presentations related to Advanced Sales (primarily educational and training based) as well as field presentations with regard to various advanced markets topics.

* Respond authoritatively to inbound phone calls from internal and external sources regarding various advanced markets topics.

Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

* 3+ years of experience working in the advanced markets.

* Substantial experience specifically in the high net worth estate planning and small business markets required.

* Experience with the creation, design and management of advanced markets campaigns, presentations and calculations required.

* Ability to lead and influence people and interact effectively across the organization.

* Proven ability to balance strategic and tactical aspects of job.

* Proven ability to support innovation and change.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

* JD and/or CPA preferred but not required.

* CLU, ChFC, CFP preferred but not required.
