Campus Pick-up Point (CPP) is Amazon’s new concept of physical locations on or near university campuses. They will bring Amazon’s broad selection, low prices, and convenient shopping experience to the heart of campuses and offer a number of additional student-focused features.

The approximate start date for this position is November 23, 2015.

The Campus Pick-up Point team is looking to hire part-time, results-oriented Campus Shift Leads at the University of Cincinnati. Shift Leads are required to perform Campus Associate duties, in addition to overseeing open/close activities and acting in a leadership capacity when necessary.

This position will be focused on customer experience, fulfillment capabilities, continuous process improvement and retail management. Shift leads will also problem solve complex issues throughout the day.

In this role Shift Leads will perform the following functions in addition to Campus Associate tasks:
  • Maintain morale of the team through customer obsessed leadership
  • Open and close the store and cover leadership responsibilities as needed
  • Manage the receiving of truck deliveries
  • Assist customers and problem solve scenarios such as missing and/or damaged packages
  • Monitor key metrics and make operational decisions in-the-moment to provide an exceptional customer experience
  • Independently prioritize workload and delegate tasks as needed
  • Lead the front end of the CPP and monitor customer interactions
  • Manage the package flow from the point it is received at the CPP to customer pick-up
  • Lead the day to day operations of the customer facing and backroom associates when acting as the Manager on Duty
  • Provide in-the-moment coaching when necessary
Hourly Pay Rate: $ 10.35

Basic Qualifications
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to read and take direction in English
  • Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours
  • Must be willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Must be able to continuously climb and descend stairs safely (applies to sites with stairs)
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years working in a customer service, retail or fulfillment center environment in a leadership capacity
  • 1+ years of experience in operation management for 20 people
  • Prior experience in a role interfacing with computers and a variety of computer software including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coach, train and assist associates and communicate effectively to a group of 20+ associates
  • Embody a positive team spirit
