We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Process Engineer.
Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Responsibilities
Assists with implementing an overall engineering, operational and manufacturing strategy for the group.
Assists with representing the company and manages divisional teams to provide professional technical support to the operations, quality control, manufacturing processes, and other areas.
Develops appropriate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with engineering principles and practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations; monitors compliance with these areas.
Manages cross-functional activities among various group departments on a project basis, such as maintenance, operations, quality control to monitor on-going and updated operations, processes, equipment, and related areas and implements adjustments.
Manages multiple complex projects across the group with involvement from senior management that involves significant capital or operational investments and requires the application of engineering principles within multiple disciplines, which includes determining objectives, budget, timelines, project tasks, and facilitating communications within the plants.
Manages the completion of documents and forms required for financial, operational, or process completion and to close out the projects.
Manages the research and selection of contractors, equipment, processes, and other areas as required within the scope of the project; applies comprehensive engineering principles and practices and receives approval when required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Serves as a technical resource for the group and responds to specialized questions and concerns from management regarding group project design and scope, budgetary requirements, capital and equipment needs, and other areas.
Supervises staff to include hiring, training, evaluating performance, providing compensation recommendations, and determining disciplinary actions when necessary.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering Required.
Minimum of five years of experience in extrusion or powder coating manufacturing facility, at least 5 of these years directly focused on manufacturing process optimization.
Experience with process improvement processes such as Six Sigma and/or Lean. Green belt certification or higher is preferred, but not required..
Direct experience with at least one of the following technologies: pigment dispersion, batch mixing operations, and/or milling.
Designing, leading, and implementing projects of moderate capital or operational investment.
Process mapping, flow diagrams, and P&IDs.
Proven process and productivity improvement skills, experience, and results.
