Manufacturing Manager/Manufacturing Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

A global firm that specializes in delivering customized combustion solutions across multiple industries by optimizing flame discrimination is looking for a qualified production manager to join their Irwindale, CA facility! The Production Manager is responsible for all activities related to the operation of the Assembly and Material Control including managing a staff of 1~3 team members. The production primary functions include the assembly of quality components and products, crating, warehousing (raw materials / component goods), and customer service (scheduling, expediting, etc.)

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Supervise, train and evaluate team members.

Develop production plans and schedules; communicate with internal production and support organizations to manage the plan in an efficient, effective and customer centric manner.

Manage production activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of staffing, machines, and materials.

Analyze and develop manufacturing methods, processes, tools and systems to improve production and quality of products.

Responsible for developing and implementing policies, standards and procedures designed to eliminate manufacturing problems and improve product quality.

Control and maintain the accuracy, condition of materials & components used in the product assembly. Responsible for maintaining the correct levels of inventory.

Monitors and ensures compliance of a safe work environment incorporating housekeeping standards. Maintains and controls the physical condition of the plant and surrounding grounds.

Develop production statistics and recommends forecasts for future production.

Participates in new product development to ensure proper machinery and equipment availability for producing new products.

Develop annual budgets for the department and monitor / control spending.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related discipline

3-5 years in a supervisory or management position.

Competence to work with minimum supervision effectively with all levels in the organization.

- The starting pay rate is 55k - 80k (depending on experience)
