We are currently seeking Cooks of All Experience Levels to work at our on-mountain and base area locations for the winter season!

Job Summaries:

The Entry Cook is responsible for basic food preparation tasks, such as cutting up meat and fish, cleaning, peeling, slicing, chopping, measuring and mixing ingredients, etc. May use basic cooking skills to work on a line or in a cooking station, such as the broiler, fryer, oven, grill, or sauté station and be responsible for set up of assigned station. May be responsible for loading and unloading food product to remote meal sites for preparation.  

The Intermediate Cook functions as experienced cook, responsible for performing the full cooking process using established recipes. This includes preparing and measuring ingredients; grilling, broiling, baking, frying, and sautéing; testing for doneness and taste; adjusting seasoning and temperature for best results; and attractive food presentation. In casual facilities, fully responsible for all aspects of a cooking station. Ensures cooking station or area is sanitary and fully functional. 

 

The Advanced Cook Functions as very experienced cook, responsible for performing the full range of the most difficult cooking tasks. In addition to cooking complex menu items, prepares sauces and glazes to enhance flavors. Improvises on established recipes based on availability of ingredients. Suggests, develops, and tests new recipes and menu items. May assist with ordering and inventory management. Oversees food preparation and provides training and guidance to more junior staff.

Requirements:

  • Individuals who are passionate about guest service and the hospitality/ski industry
  • English Proficiency
  • Able to work the entire season (November– April)
  • Some experience in food and beverage or guest service
  • Flexibility is a must, and typically most hours will be on weekends and holidays.

Der Fondue Chessel is a fondue lover’s dream, whether it’s a cozy dinner for two or a fun group gathering. Enjoy an authentic fondue experience atop Keystone's North Peak Mountain. It is a very cozy atmosphere with an element of adventure as you arrive by gondola.  Two gondolas are needed to get here, which could add up to 30-40 minutes to your commute to work

Alpenglow Stube

The highest AAA Four-Diamond™ dining experience in North America. Enjoy breathtaking views while traveling in enclosed comfort aboard two gondolas to the top of the North Peak at 11,444 feet. Award-winning chefs create delicious contemporary cuisine with a Bavarian accent to complement this unique, secluded setting. Arguably the best dinner in the ski industry.  Two gondolas are needed to get here, which could add up to 30-40 minutes to your commute to work.

9280 Taphouse

This is the place to be! With a great bar/pub menu and a wide variety of beer and drink choices, this is a great up-beat place to work.  Located right in River Run Village, it is a very convenient place to work where you are always in the center of the action.  With a happy hour from 3-6, this place gets wild for Apres.

Labonte’s Smokehouse BBQ

Open December through April. Labonte’s boasts the best BBQ smokehouse and the best beach on the mountain with Adirondack chairs and tunes to match the scene.  Located at the bottom between Dercum and North Peak, you will have the chance to ski/ride to work every day!

Mountain House/Last Lift Bar

Mountain House Lodge is one of the original base area buildings in Mountain House village. Home of Black Diamond Pizzeria, the Last Lift Bar and a food court with countless dining options.  At the base of Peru lift, this is a convenient place to work for those living in Employee housing. 

Summit House

Above all else, the Summit House offers the highest dining in Keystone at 11,640’. The Summit House’s central location on top of Dercum Mountain makes it a great place to meet up with friends and family, catch a bite to eat, grab a quick drink or just to check out one of the best views in Summit County. Open during the winter and summer, primarily a fast-paced, turn and burn style cafeteria.  Employee’s working here will need to ride the River Run Gondola to work each day, so plan accordingly.

Timber Ridge

Located at the top of North Peak, Timber Ridge offers a spacious mountain lodge atmosphere with cathedral ceilings and a two-story fireplace. For quick-serve on-mountain lunch options, Timber Ridge is the perfect place to sit, relax and enjoy an array of higher-end cafeteria options. Grab an Epic Burger or Pizza for a heartier meal or a Pho Noodle Bowl for a healthier option.  Top it off with a snack from the wide selection as well as a cold or hot beverage. Choose to sit indoors next to the large fire place or outdoors on the spacious deck overlooking the Ten Mile Range. Two gondola rides are needed to reach Timber Ridge.
