About this job

- Majority of the time spent using independent judgment in making employment-related and business decisions, or effectively recommend such decisions including but not limited to product and department related strategies, hiring, promoting, disciplining, suspending, discharging, rewarding or otherwise engage in resolving Partner-related matters

- Supervises non-exempt and lower level exempt employees. Applies specialized subject matter knowledge to routine and moderately complex issues. Supervises a tactical team engaged in supporting the day-to-day efforts of the department. Provides expertise to departmental teams and participates in cross-department initiatives. Acts as a member of the management team for the department. Escalates issues where known precedent has not been established. Acts as a point of escalation for subordinate employees.

Partner Relations

- Provides Partners technical training, coaching, certification and developmental opportunities.

- Provides performance feedback to Partners through fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.

- Supports a Positive Partner Relations environment by assisting Partners resolve their concerns.

- Ensures Partner compliance with Facility & process safety requirements.

- Becomes personally involved in each and every Partner injury.

- Initiates job requisition, sources and interviews candidates.

- Reviews and assigns work as needed.

- Assists in establishing and monitoring work standards within Fleet Maintenance. (Fleet Only)

Customer Service & Support

- Creates and executes the Partner-s work schedule to ensure product meets customer demand in an effective and efficient manner.

- Notifies Partners of daily shift operational goals and gains their commitment.

- Stays abreast of the movement of equipment & product & makes adjustments to achieve targeted delivery and or equipment slotting schedules.

- Responds to customer inquiries through research and makes necessary corrections.

- Ensures that proper inop levels are maintained so they do interfere with operational needs. (Fleet Only)

- Ensures all vehicles / equipment meets or exceeds all DOT regulations.

- Builds relationships and works closely with customer-s Partners and Leaders.

Expense Control

- Monitors productivity and throughput against goals and takes appropriate action to meet goals.

- Reviews daily work volume and balances staffing levels and overtime as necessary.

- Tracks damage to equipment and facility and takes appropriate action to control costs.

- Tracks and processes all Fleet Maintenance invoices. (Fleet Only)

- Assigns warranty work to vendors. (Fleet Only)

- Oversees and executes purchasing of parts, fuel and supplies. (Fleet Only)

Asset Conditions & Sanitation

- Maintains a clean, safe, well organized, and pest free facility.

- Identifies, addresses, and resolves sanitation, maintenance and safety issues.

- Maintain asset-washing equipment.

- Ensures that all assets and equipment are maintained in a clean and operational condition.

- Bachelors Degree or 3-5 years related experience

- Strong working knowledge and compliance: industry, OSHA, strong DOT, EEOC, EPA and state Employment Laws

- Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail skills and follow through required

- Strong written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated experience with presentations to subordinates

- Demonstrated ability to analyze and influence people and process by using Business Excellence.

- Demonstrated proficiency with operating internal and external software systems at an intermediate to advanced level; advanced knowledge of operations of departmental programs

- Attendance and completion of Leadership & Development Classes and BET required.

- Working knowledge of department reports.

- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Drug Free: Certified Breath/Alcohol Testing.

- Knowledge of Corporate

Policies.

- Work hours and days fluctuates based on business needs (evenings, weekends, nights and holidays are examples).

- Must be able to work extended shifts (10- 12 hrs).

- Ability to move throughout assigned work areas.
