Software Engineer
9 month contract

REQUIRED:
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer science or equivalent.
Minimum of 10 years work related experience in software development of complex system.
8+ years of experience developing software in C, C++, or C# for complex systems
2-5 years of experience working in an Agile software development environment
8+ years of experience developing MS Windows based client/server application systems.
Full SDLC experience

PREFERRED:
Aviation or pilot experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Development, documentation and maintenance of software architectures and designs in order to meet customer, functional, and/or regulatory requirements, quality objectives, and constraints specific to the applicable domain and available technology.
Ensures application of best practices.
Mentors less experienced employees.
Provides technical coordination for project management including schedules, plans, and estimates.
Assists in prioritizing tasks and participates in reviews.
Assists project managers with risk management and progress reviews.
Develops corrective action plans.
Develops Computer Software Component (CSC) software requirements and algorithms.
Defines external interfaces.
Leads Computer Software Unit requirements trade studies.
Performs CSC requirements change assessment.
Supports requirements team lead in negotiating CSCI interfaces and requirements.
Participates in the development, maintenance, unit tests and peer reviews for a software Computer Software Configuration Item (CSCI) by utilizing software development environments and programming languages in order to implement design and satisfy allocated requirements.
Develops/decomposes, documents and maintains designs for a software Computer Software Component (CSC) consistent with the defined architecture and requirements/regulations by applying established methods and practices. Participates in internal and external design reviews.
Applies extensive job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts. Provides technical solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and creativity.
