Full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist/Medical Collections Specialist position available with our client located near Garden City, NY!
Accounts Receivable Specialist
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Working with the Billing and Collections department
Assist with processing insurance claims
Follow up with insurance companies to ensure the claims are paid.
Resubmit claims or inquiries from insurance company as needed.
Reduce claim denial turn around.
Submit secondary insurance claims daily.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working for a medical/surgery center
Must have experience working on accounts receivable aging and writing appeals.
General knowledge of CPT/ICD9 Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Great attention to detail
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to prioritize tasks
Salary: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour contingent upon experience
