The purpose of this position is to maximize and sustain business success through the disciplined use of facts, data, and analyses to support, improve, and lead the re-engineering of critical business processes.
 
The successful candidate directs the development and execution of standardized staffing and performance monitoring models to provide upper management and senior leadership with information and tools for strategic decision making and planning. You will provides leadership and consultative advice within the department and across the organization on end-to-end business process activities, business plans, and ROI calculations for assessing alternative courses of action. You are responsible for all long term budgetary forecasting, staffing and hiring plans, monitoring of attrition and alignment of budget to workforce staffing requirements for all of UCS. This position includes partnering with business to identify business justification and presenting of material to multiple levels of management.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Sets team direction, resolves problems and provides guidance to members of own team
Communicates effectively with all business partners building strong working relationships
Develops relationships with business leaders and ensure alignment of goals with business strategies
Analyzes inventory levels, production speed, and product demand to determine the required amount of staff to ensure service levels are met for all lines of business and departments
Retains flexibility in approach and schedule with ability to multitask effectively
Demonstrates creative problem solving skills
Advanced written and verbal communication skills with the ability to be persuasive and influence others and assess and interpret customer needs and requirements
Strong presentation skills and can provide explanations (clear and concise) to others on difficult issues
Determines the best metrics to use to provide the most accurate representation of the forecast
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Conducts trend analysis and determine FTE impacts for all process changes
Analyzes a variety of financial data for the purpose of providing direction and support, making recommendations, maximizing funds, and/or ensuring overall operations are in budget
Conducts internal audits to ensure staffing and business processes are aligned within the required financial goals of the organization and/or department
Monitors actual staffing results with performance to determine if additional adjustments to the staffing models are required
Prepares monthly executive summaries and conduct monthly staffing reviews with all business leads to ensure alignment of business goals are being met

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration, or related field
5+ years of experience in business / financial analysis
Advanced experience in MS Excel modeling (ability to develop macros, extensive formulas, build models from scratch)
Intermediate level of proficiency with PC based software programs and automated database management systems (Access, PowerPoint, Visio)
Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of team lead experience
3+ years of Workforce Forecasting experience
Knowledge of Workforce Management tools such as IEX, Aspect or Blue Pumpkin
Clinical or healthcare background
