Direct Support Professional

Every person needs the support of others, but we look for very special people to support individuals living with brain injury, intellectual developmental disability (including autism spectrum disorders), spinal cord injury and other physical and neurological conditions and mental health issues; children with disabilities. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with REM Heartland you’ll be one of those special people.

DSPs are the link to the community for those they serve. For some, they may be the eyes of those unable to see, or the voice for those who can’t speak. For others, they are friend, cheerleader and subtle support on the path to one’s true potential.

Requirements:

· High school diploma or GED

· Must be 18 years of age

· Valid driver’s license in good standing

· Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
