At Lewin, the Federal Health and Human Services practice helps federal decision-makers strengthen health and human services programs and make informed policy choices. Lewin also works with foundations and associations to research and evaluate complex health care and human services needs. By delivering objective, data-driven research, technical assistance, and evaluations including access to proprietary data sets, Lewin is able to support current program activities, inform future program investments and support strategic decision processes.
 
As a Managing Consultant, you will direct and manage the planning, design and implementation of projects and serve as the primary Client contact for methodological and technical expertise and translates client needs and/or objectives into specific deliverables in a timely and cost-efficient manner. You will ensure that all research projects are conducted with sound methods and approaches. You will parlay your significant research experience in the specific content area, experience in business development, grant or proposal writing, and program evaluation.  Additionally, you will manage projects of different sizes, work directly with clients, and represent The Lewin Group at national conferences.
 
Key responsibilities may include:

Directing and managing large projects or a series of smaller projects
Responsibility for project budget management, deliverables, client relations, and staff supervision
Management of several direct reports

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree or Ph.D. with 10+ years of post-graduate relevant healthcare research and/or policy analysis, program evaluation and design and/or health care consulting experience
7+ years of experience managing mid-large-scale projects including staff, budget and subcontractor management, timelines, deliverables and client management, or 5+ years of experience working with federal or state health policy and programs and/or clients
Background in quantitative methodology
Expertise in any of the following areas: policy analysis, program evaluation, program integrity, informatics, strategic planning and process improvement
Proficient in leading cross-functional project teams
Proven client engagement and development skills including federal and/or state clientele
Proven business development experience including leading proposals and/or grants
